Rear Axle Problem

I am trying to remove the 24mm wheel nut from the rear axle to get at the rear brake caliper. Problem is when i try to undo the nut the axle is spinning with it. Looked the other side no nut... Axle is hollow and i dont see how to get a tool in there to stop it spinning to undo the nut. Any suggestions ?

ok thanks, did not look like it would take a hex head, need to go out and buy a 14mm hex - my metric set does not go this big

Go cheaper yet, put two allen keys in there at one time. Works for me, and you know I've had practice.

Do not buy more tools thats where it starts next thing you will need a new toolbox to fit all the tools much cheaper t take it to a mechanic and have him fix it otherwise you have sentenced yourself to lifetime of never leaving a hard ware store empty handed its too late for me now I am just warning you tools are like crack you can never get enough.

Yep, any excuse for mroe tools got myself some large metric hex heads which fit on a 1/2 socket wrench - just the trick...
