Looks lke it's going to be a joyful ride battling wind from Newcastle to Sydney , will wait till about 9-10 before I leave. By the sounds if it traffic will be chaos in Sydney this morning due to storm damage ......

Yea mate, Mooney bridge has a wind sock on the top of it, its pretty exposed going across a couple of others as well... and Pennant Hills road is crap any time of the day

sounds like you had a reasonable run to Newcastle then, apart from the weather

just take it steady and stay safe Sean and watch out for those high wind areas Les mentioned

G'day fellas, been a while since I've been online. Apologies to all that have left messages with no reply. Ive bitten off a bit more than I can chew so been going flat knacker. 20 hour days for the last month so will be looking forward to a relaxing time with you all.

Special thanks to @Malcy as I've dropped the ball and he's picked it up.

@Wrecka go easy bloke. Enjoy the ride and take your time. It'll be good to have a bevi when you arrive.

Made it to my mates place at Hammondvile, got drowned all the way from Newcastle and the wind was that bad i got hit by a gust that lasted for a couple of seconds I had to lean my whole weight to the left and the bike actually skipped about 18 inches across the lane Was time for new undies after that. Traffic was heavy till I got onto the m7, soaked to the bone again but still enjoying the experience immensely , be awesome doing the Albury leg with the ones headin down tomorrow , i definately need a beer or rum tonight

about time you made an appearance slacker @ponters ...... what only 20 hour days, did you bludge for the other 4hrs, but it's alright mate most of us will forgive you!!:whitstling::p:p:p:D

Glad you are progressing steadily Sean you have plenty of time yet. Thanks for keeping us in the loop with how you are getting on. Weather is always a bit wonky and uncertain in the spring. Take care bloke.
