RDU Batemans Bay 2013 Take 2

bloody annoyed with myself that I couldn't make it due to work commitments. As it turned out we were told late Thursday we were having Friday and Monday off due to the 'official' end of our contract and the engineers 'wrap' party (lawn bowls) tomorrow.
Hope everyone had a good time and safe travel home.
I will really have to make more effort to get out more!!!!

Shame they didn't give you more notice about work day backflip but even then it would have been straight down and straight back up with only the Saturday evening hardly worth it so don't feel bad at least you can have rest with the family and start planning for the RDU next year in Vic

If I may be so bold as to Suggest that next years RDU in Vic be moved to November when the nights will be warmer as even thou our nights are normally milder that QLD these last couple of nights have been some of the coldest we have had for a while and Vic's nights this time of year will be even colder, only last week I was saying to Ann how this was going to be good as the Qld'ers won't be freezing the yesterday evening I saw them rugged up like they were going to the Snow, So I apologise for the cold snap but I hope you still enjoyed the awesome days today is a stunner :D

Looks like a good time had by all that attended. Hanso did you get a good picture of the gold rocket and who own's it?

At this stage Julie and I will be in a caravan park at Moruya for the Monday the 23rd of Sept to Friday the 27th. Be doing the tourist thing around the south coast for 4 days. Will catch up one day for a drink or mabey a meal if your work permits. My parents will be down there from the 11th to the 15th in there motorhome . They will be staying in our cousins yard at Moruya my dad and him have been mates since they were kids but I don't know him that well so I'll do the van park thing. Don't want to push the cousin thing to much.

I think it was about 18 here last night and got to 27 today.

Yeah that Gold Rocket belongs to TezDog (Terry) one of Bubz mates, I jokingly told him his tank and guards might change colour overnight!! we had a laugh he is a Big Dude so I don't think you want to get caught swapping them tins, at night the those pathway lights really brought the Gold beautifully and he was telling me there is only about 4 in Auss.
those date work good for me as I have the Tuesday and Wednesday (wed best for me)of in that fortnight but usually deliver Dominos pizza on Tuesday night but can get it of if necessary, we could go for feed at the Cat club or wherever depending whether you are staying in the B/Bay or Moruya either way there are some nice places and I can let Brian and Ruzzle know and have a good night of it, if you are staying in the Bay I can't recommend the big 4 beach resort enough they really looked after the crew and the place is clean and modern.

Stop the Press .....PeterK just rang to say he arrived home safe and sound, he left here at 1.45am after just 4 hrs sleep and just arrived home, I have to say he was an awesome guy to have around and we had fun and look forward to seeing him again
