Sounds like the caravan park would suit better ,Moana is a real nice spot has well its on the beach , Suppose really, not everyone goes out for brekky , and a cabin you can have your weetbix ect , There is a shopping centre a short drive away , and port noarlunga for cafes is about 6-7 klm away , thats if the one in moana is shut which it probably will not be . it seems to be a busy place .

You guys have a look on google , at Victor ,, moama and decide which one , or even suggest anywhere else .. I would pick Moama over Victor ,, simply for day rides , one day you can head to victor going over delemere , making it a nice comfortable 100 - 200 klm ride , depending on how long you want to be out , next day head east to the hills and over to the Barrossa ,, I doubt if after travelling all that way you will want to do marathons every day .

Still up to you guys , but i do suggest we make discisions and book in the next 3-4 weeks ,

For What It Is Worth ........ Oct 9,10 and 11th at Moana would be my vote as it is the weekend before the Phillip Island MotoGP which would then give a leisurely 3 day ride back over to Phillip Island after RDU

Thats all good with me Hanso , I could ride back with the guys going East and make it a full week , . oRGANIZING WHAT AND WHERE WE COULD STAY IS THE EASY PART . We only have to make phone calls , the weekends and times are the hard parts thats up to you guys , , I'm alright its easy for me i'm retired , , So start posting prefered dates once thats locked in , we will actually be able to try bookings and find out whats available ,,

just remember , this is South Aust we have more leave here for holidays than actually come here, so accomadation for a large number is harder to fill . WE NEED NOTICE .

But with saying that if we get in early we should be able to book all we need .

When I rang Moana Caravan Park I asked about October, all of the cabins are free at the moment as there are no bookings as yet

I suggest we just do what the T bIRD forum do for there , get togethers , and thats put the number up and let the people who want to come down , book there cabins .. Oct should'nt be to bad , just looked and it looks like 25th sept -- 12 oct are school holidays , Moana is a popular beach resort , i don't know if it will be busy then because its not hot , but would'nt do any harm to book early

Sounds good, if peoples then want to go to the GP at Phillip Island I would think the weekend before (Friday 09th - Sunday 11th October) would be the go.... if peoples OK with that, then maybe start a "RDU Adelaide 9-11 Oct" thread with a poll as to who is/is not coming.
FYI, If it happens, Linda and I will do a webber BBQ on the Saturday night, and if you get to pi++ed it's a 7minute walk/15 minute stagger (all downhill) to the camping ground

i have been to victor harbor and stayed at the van park with a big group of riders

I reckon Victor would be a good location.

Thinking about it again .. If port noarlunga is out , maybee not enough rooms . But lots of places to eat and no ones too fussed about being near a pub . Victor is the next best place lots of places to eat , for those who don't want to eat weetbix every morning and bbq every night .

Fickle arnt I ha ha . plus Lushy is close by for anyone who wants a engine rebuild or a Dyno tune while there .
