Rattley, Tinkley Sound

I had a rattle too. It turned out to be the tachometer was loose (the single phillips screw that holds the chrome cover) along with some of the windshield bolts.

When I first got mine it had a very annoying sound on the left. It ended up being the weight at the end of the handlebar. Mine has a Throttlemeister and it comes with a matching weight for the left bar. Someone had installed the washers in the wrong order so it allowed one of them to remain loose.

I developed a noise recently and I describe it as if you were running over some gravel and the noise it makes traveling around the fender well....Is that what it sounds like?
My Roadster had this noise you described perfectly. When I removed the gas tank and put the newly painted parts on it went away ,,,,,,,,,,,, for a while, now it's back. So I am guessing it is behind the bear claw. Probably a cable or something simple. Only going over bumps though never under acceleration. If it was I would look at timing, fuel grade etc. Just a thought.
