Hello All! I have searched through quite a few posts. Is it worth putting a Ramair system on a 17 Roadster just to get rid of the 3+ feet of tubing the air has to travel to make it to the engine? Does this make it more efficient running? Would a tune be required for just a Ramair system and no exhaust? Thank you!

Ha! Sweet. Is there a tune for Ramair and stock exhaust (I know that is sacrilegious to say)? Should I bother with one? Does Ramair increase or decrease fuel efficiency? I would think increase since the engine doesn't have to pull air so hard, but, I don't actually know :)

I would advise wait until you are ready to change the exhaust, and have a dyno tuner located.
There have been fellas that did just Ramair on its own, however that is a very large change to the intake tract. Most likely it will lose power until tuned.

Also, this “12 minute” tune stuff is a complete waste of time. It’s snake oil stuff to make you think you have a tuned bike. It’s not.

Even a tune loaded with the same exact equipment will be off. Like way off.

Possibly. I had tors,x pipe, and ramair and used Hanso's tune. Took it to dyno to double check afr and it was spot on. There was no doubt some hp left on the table but ran great
