Mmmm - I shall have to look into that rather more deeply.

a lot of french residents are moving in because of no property tax for 10 years and no income taxes for ten years and a lower cost of living naturally they all start looking in the algarve province . I plan on doing same maybe this winter

Question about the tune for the new ramair filter....I ordered mine to install on a 2007 standard with the TORs and cat delete. The bike has the dealer installed TORs tune.

Will the 12 minute tune be all that is needed? I don't have any experience with either Tuneboy or the free software. What is recommended for the best outcome after install?

Thanks for any advice/help.

I'd say you'll be running pretty lean anyway with the TORs tune, although if you haven't removed your secondary butterflies it won't be too bad. With the Ramair filter you will almost certainly be too lean and will need to find a way to change your a:f. TuneECU seems to be the tool of choice and cheapest option. I went with a Dobeck TFI and it works great - plug and play with no need for dyno or messing with tunes. I still have TORs tune, although I think I need to look at changing it since I've changed my exhaust and intake. Runs great but just a bit thirsty. Other options for you include Power Commander. Plenty written about all that on here. Bottom line is you'll need to do something.

Firstly how are you with computers and do you have a laptop? If the answer is negative to both you could do with teaming up with someone who can help - maybe a member of this forum that knows TuneECU and living not too far away.

However you do it, loading a tune suitable for TORS and triple K&N's should be reasonably close to your needs. Ultimately a DYNO test would be the best option even if only to get AFR'a adjusted if necessary.

The PC5+AT is an alternative but you can get two dyno tunes for the same money, at least over here anyway.

Thanks for the replies...I'm pretty handy with a computer but no laptop. Might be able to borrow one from somewhere. I'm relatively close to Carpenter's shop...not sure if they do dyno tuning, but that would be a reasonable solution if it's possible.

I'll be sure to ask questions when the time arrives...maybe someone will have a tune developed that works for my configuration by then.

I got my filter delivered today,it came in a sturdy cadboard box, well packed (for you guys outside the uk). There's a 5 page instruction pamphlet on the instal.and all clips and the extension cable for fitting, plus the crankcase filter. Well worth the cash IMHO. Got a pcv without autotune and a custom 3-1-2 exhaust so a trip to the Dyno is on the cards. I was going to load a tune for Jardines & kn to make sure I'm not too lean. It,s only 20 miles to the shop.
