RAMAIR Filters bespoke Rocket-3 underclaw filter.

I've been running the Ramair for a couple of days with no bearclaw and the intake roar as you get on the loud handle is amazin. I can't stop laughin every time .:D I'll refit the bearclaw and see how it sounds. I tried runnin with just the 12 min tune but the bike kept dyin at nearly every light an I had to keep the tickover at 1k on the throttle. Stuck on a pcv today and it's a bit better.I'm goin to see the dyno guy tomorrow mornin.

Please post the results, would be good to compare with the K&Ns.

Ramair is now on EBAY: "dramatic improvement in air flow" ... "better throttle response, torque and more importantly horsepower". $158.81 plus $13.21 shipping.

You pretty much need to split the frame or remove the distributor to remove the gubbins. Changing the filter means removing oilpipes and all sorts of stuff. Mine is modified ;)

OK I won't be looking any time soon at buying an old guzzi but I have difficulties in believing that designers other than brits are so weird as to design some of the electrics seen in brit bikes or airplanes for that matter

You really have not had an Italian bike from the '80's. CEV and Magneti Marelli together made Joe Lucas seem almost advanced. Guzzi's saving grace was a charging and starting system from Bosch.

yes I have heard of the " magnetti marelli" had a friend with a 50 cc moped called ITOM an italian brand and when we wanted to go places his ride always gave problem of an electrical nature

incidentally would you know how to open an hex file? I downloaded a R3 tune it showed a zip extension on the forum but it is a hex extention and I have no idea how to convert it not even the web gave me any indication

I downloaded a a software called PDFLITE for that conversion purpose and all I did was wiping out my triumph manual and some other files I had in PDF format . just in case someone else is considering this be careful
