Excellent - I nearly took one off him - but then Colin started on the ITG/RAMAIR thing. I wasn't going to cut the claw. Of couse - Now I have Les's air-claw -

Now maybe somebody ingenious can find a way to use this

Mr Steel, I notice that you have drilled out your silencers, care to advise how they sound and work - plus method please?

They sound a little louder and deeper, but still not loud. The bike does seem to run a little better, but it hasn't been dynoed so there are no real numbers to back that up.

I used a 2 5/8" hole saw that I used to build the plate for my Pipercross filter.

Drilled the outer plate and removed the short pipe inside. Then drilled the second plate, and removed the baffle in it.
A couple of days after drilling the first 2 plates, I went back and drilled a 1 3/8" hole through the plate below the perforated tube.

The cat is still deeper in but won't be so easy to remove.

I'm glad to know y'all were joking. I looked at them prices and thought maybe I'm just a cheap bassturd, but there was no way I was paying that.
