Ram Air why? All information

Not necessarily. Picture the difference between trying to suck air through a straw with a filter on the end or a 2 inch pvc pipe with the same filter on the end, less restriction same filtration.
I understand the plumbing restriction part just curios on the microns? dirt dust ram air and the K&N filters but you say same filtration

Rick had a left handed cigarette in his testing. I know he gave me a hit

Serious though it like comparing apples and oranges
According to ram air they have multiple micron levels in one foam filter. Where K&N has one and is desigend for High flow. Anyway Rick gets high I've checked his stuff out it is real. Don't listen to Chris if he post either. I've had his cookies they meed more raisins

Hey Barbagris.. Great looking center stand, where did you purchase? Will it fit the 2013 touring?

That is a BECKER stand - German. I know @Joesmoe uses one on a "T". It is A WORKSHOP STAND - It does not stay on the bike.

He does not ship to USA or Canada. Blame US board of trade.

What Warp 9.9 said.... I'm not sure the real delta between K&N and ramair in regard to filtration and I'm not going to do a you tube video to find out , but I bet the difference is negligible. As 1K9 said, keep it clean & oiled, and ride. Starting to feel like an oil thread

Yes in the begining some comparison were done between the little K & N 2780 filters that fit under the bear claw and they were so close It doesn't really matter. And well even the ram air was going to look at making a bigger filter for higher hp rockets they fell short. There are about 3 maybe 4 more larger K&N filters that make more power but with modified bear claws. Like the looks 4040's with a carpenter pipe and a stock engine pull up on about 170 hp.

The theory as explained by Ramair, Pipercross, ITG and one or two others is that the foam can take far more muck on board before becoming saturated and obturating airflow. If you are REGULARLY and FREQUENTLY cleaning a cotton filter from the inside out then reoiling from teh outside in - there's nothing in it.

Ramair is a little unusual in that there is NO OIL used - they use a special sticky goo that dirt sticks to - and as it does not flow it cannot transport dirt in the oil as it gets sucked towards the engine.

When you clean one - Jeezuz does it hold muck in the foam. ITG the same.
