Rain gear

Hi all,

I live in the southwest USA and planning a trip north so I'm about to buy rain gear for the first time online, I'm wondering about sizing.
If I normally wear a size large jacket will I need a size larger or is that factored in already? This is the one I'm looking at:

If you want the best rain gear, check out Aerostich. They are pricey, but well worth it. They even have liners for cold weather riding. I left Michigan for Maggie Valley with it about 36 degrees outside. Only thing that got cold were my fingertips and feet.

I just purchased some Gerbing heated gear to remedy that.

I have always found that if you buy the best, you only buy once.

Met a guy at The Dragon that had had his Aerostich for over 10 years and he rides a lot.

One of the downfalls about ordering online you do not get to try it on, the correct way to try a rainsuit is to have your riding jacket on when you try the rain suit on

I'd be off to my local MC accessories shop and get sized up in your gear then head back to the wild world of the interweb for purchasing.

Well thanks, I was hoping to avoid the trip to the shop (110 mi R/T) because I'm leaving at the end of the week, but I guess its the right move.
I've put 110k on my bikes out here since 2003 and I only remember getting soaked once.
Unfortunately monsoons are sweeping through the next couple weeks so I want to be prepared just in case.
Vanguard I've been using a Widder electric vest in winter for 10 years and it makes all the difference in the world.
Haven't taken a long trip in a while so I'm pumped about this one.

Jacket and Pants

I have the Olympia jacket and pants and they work very well. Kept dry, were easy to put on over boots and priced right.

That's the best way to make sure you local, convenient MC accessory shop either stops stocking a full range or goes out of business. Where will you try stuff on then? Save a few bucks in the short term and pay the price later. Your call.
