Radiator leak

OK, my intention is to try a further bodge on the dying one first, I was talking about this to a friend who recommended I try this stuff because it works underwater it will not be affected by the dampness of a fitted and full radiator thats not up to pressure while its curing. I checked the data sheet and its working temperature is -40C to +120C ….. anyone know what temp the rad should be getting to?

Don't forget most epoxies and glues want a clean surface to work properly and anti-freeze will contaminate the area.

There are some very talented aluminium welders out there that may be able to repair this - trick is finding them

I wouldn't trust that stuff to hold up for long , especially with antifreeze in the mix . The Chinese radiator will be fine and a useful stop gap whilst getting yours professionally repaired . Good luck with it all .

Take a look at this. Aluminium brazing rods with a gas torch. I repaired an aluminium radiator core with it 4 months ago and it's still water and antifreeze tight. If you can solder you can use this product. Brilliant stuff.

Must be very careful with aluminium as too much heat will result in a whole lot melting away without much notice.
