What time you plan on leaving the house Gary? I'm wondering about the possibility of you and me picking a rendezvous time and place somewhere south of KC, and riding together from there. I'd probably have to leave 3 hours before you to make that work.

If your coming down I-35 you can meet me at 10:00 ish at 8600 Pleasant Valley Rd. Pleasant Valley Mo. it's a Quick Trip right off 35 just up the road from my home.

Sounds like a plan . It's definitely doable for me. I'll have to get gas once along the way but I think if I leave my house at 7:00... then 10:00 ish at that QT would be just about right. Is there good Rocket gas at that QT?

I think they have all kinds of gas. Its QT truck stop.

Our compression ratio is a bit different than yours.

Is this normal? Thought I better check my oil level. First dip comes off and makes black streaks on the paper towel. 2nd dip not as much. 3rd dip not at all and the color looks good. It's like you'd expect if the dipstick was magnetic, but it's not. 4,000 miles on Castrol synthetic, so not near end of life. And hasn't seemed to have lost an ounce, so that's good... but those black streaks don't seem right. Gonna try not to worry about it...

I'm sure that plays into it. I think a lot of our group have given up riding. A lot of us ain't young no more. Sadly motorcycle touring seems to be losing popularity .

Just different degrees of motor love, I guess.
Medical issues have cramped my style for a little over a year now and I'm getting REALLY tired of it!
