Warp...I owe u some corn and haven't forgot. I will present the goods for your approval in Ouray. If you are truly looking for sponsors for an attempt on the salt...don't be shy...I bet we can get enuf of us together to make it happen...and I'm first to sign up and get the T shirt!!

I do understand, Warpo.
Used to barely crack 180 frequently on my Ninja. My license plate ring read "Life begins at 170!"
Cracking 200 back then was a dream on a street legal bike.
130 max on my R3R after several attempts was a disappointment.
130 your sped limiter is
Hey Bull its not that I am looking for sponsors and=s much as I am looking for some support incase Irun in to some saftey inspection changes that need to be met. It ould be some simple changes that need to be made that I might not be prepared for. It basically boils down to what the insoectors think on that day. I really want o run the races but it is looking like to much of a pain in the arse to do the same speeds I do on the country roads. simple thing like if my fuel line is not protected like they wnat and getting it changed to meet there believed conception on site might be a problem. I am really only looking to get in the 200 mph naked club and could set the blown gas record at the same time without tryying to do 230 mph +. The simple fact id the regulations are much more stingent the =n one thinks especially when it has to deal with the inspectors opinion at that time. I know its weird as most captions worry about grinding the **** out of their pegs and not max speed. Not to drag up dark side peopele but if they could see mathematice=s the would understand how much easier it is to drag pegs with a car tire (no matter what speed) I am not one to look for draging metal which is like draging a boat anchor and can easily slow a vehicle down. I one cannot see that then he is mathematically impaired. (not sure about the spelling here) It boils down to enjoying a ride with captains or racing period !!!

Warpo,
You keep us posted about those curve balls at the LSR. As R3Tex said, there are those of us willing to help with what we can.
I agree about the twisties versus speed; although, I believe more perfer the speed than max performance in the twisties.
I don't want to drag $hit - I want to lean! This big bruiser is a handfull and woefully lacking compared to a good sport bike.
I am not remotely as fast I was 20 or more years ago - skills have eroded somewhat; but, I'd still like to get the bike set up so I can wring the most out of it that my old ass can and still have the bike able to take more without dragging!
All out speed is kewl; but, to me, just not as challenging or as big a pump as muscling around the twisties.
Best Regards,
1olbull
PS: I forgot - are you telling me I can increase my top end with a tune?
