RAA 8 Spring Launch
do to Mother nature and the fact that I do not want to travel all the way to north of Toronto Canada I am delaying my departure until Saturday morning. Is Rain Man up here in the North ?

**** and I went out and bought a new set of Frog Toggs (Road toad) hoping that if I spent the money it would not rain. I even have a set of rain boot covers and rain chaps for hard water protection. Last year on the way back from maggie valley I was in a monsoon and had to slow down from 90 MPH to 70 because th erain drops were hurting so much. Turned out it was the hail stones that was stinging me
 
Scott, the weather here has been amazing all week with barely a cloud in the sky and temps in the mid to high 70's but there is a cold front moving in tonight with lots of rain between now and Saturday morning then it will stay cool until the day we head south. I might be showing you the area in my Tacoma .
 

Like you said we can always head south if its to bad up there. I have no schedule except to be in Maggie Valley on the 16th and already called and she said if we show up a day early she believes she will be able to put us up.
 
Weather

In all my years I have never seen a spring like this one...or the lack of spring

Wed of this week it was in the 50's rain most of the day....and around 4 pm I had hail about the size of dimes....for about 15 min..

Yesterday was a beautiful day after the fog lifted about 9:30 am.....the upper 80"s

Today is going to be pretty....unitl late this evening and the rain and cool weather is here for the entire weekend

I hope all this crappy weather is gone by next week.....
