I have vibration at about 80mph and it increases the faster I go above 80. I notice the vibration in the my hands on the grips and the mirrors do become blurred as well. Below 80 the bike runs smoother. My Touring is all stock. I thought when I changed out my front tire it might smooth out but it didn't. Maybe I have one of the problems mentioned on this thread. I have had problems with starting the bike at times, it seems like I don't get enough power to the starter to turn it over enough. I bought a new battery with increased amps but it didn't help. A couple of days ago I tried to start the bike and didn't think it was going to start but it finally did. I checked the battery and it didn't show any volts then in showed 14 volts and then none again, the volts came and went, I checked other batteries I have and the tester was consistent. I think I must have a electrical problem, and maybe that could be causing the vibration. At times I have clicking noise when I crank the motor. I think I might need a new relay. Can I go to auto parts store to get a new relay or will I need to get one from Triumph dealer. Thanks for any impute.

Checking across the battery poles? - Sounds like a possible cracked bus plate in the battery. Rare-ish but can happen.

Also (and from recent experience on the Land Rover) make sure the earth from Battery to Chassis and Battery to Engine are not only 0-ohms but can also flow current. If in doubt - there is no doubt - ADD A FAT CABLE.

The GOLDEN RULE OF ELECTRICS. Until otherwise proven - all problems are earth problems.

Vibrations - fitting a PCV/AT has smoothed mine out no end.

I also had the valkyrie, and the Rocket does vibrate a bit more, miles less than my HD. If you live close to another Rocketeer, perhaps you could meet up and check out the ride as compared to another Rocket...

Is the vibration when standing still, i.e. from the motor or when you are riding, perhaps from the tires... a bad tire can create a lot of vibration.
