Just mounted my second Exedra Max 240 on the rear of my Standard with a matching 130/70 17 up front. The frikkin' beast is nearly as flickable as a speed triple!:D

Pete, I haven't had the opportunity, yet, to pound this combo through my favorite, local twisties, so I can't give you an honest answer at this point. I'll let you know as soon as I have a chance to go where others have not gone before. My sense is that it will make an inconsequential difference, if any at all. Initial impression is that the bike is much more maneuverable (lighter on its feet), but that particular feel may be off-putting for less experienced riders. For me, she is much, much easier to dance with than ever she was before!:D

My bike now has much more compliant turn-in response, meaning that it will now make the same turn with less effort and less lean angle with this smaller tire than with either the 150s or 140 I've run previously. The geometry with this setup is the best yet (rake and trail) for improved handling and response. Most noticeable is how much less rider input is required for putting the big girl where I want her, faster and easier. Dragging pegs or boards has never been much of a concern for me regardless of the tire size I'm running... it sort of goes with the turf.;)

I've alwayd used Metz on my Tourer , but got crap mileage , Usually around 7-8000 KLM on the front and 5-7 on the back , I found the front would cup well before they wore out .

My lat set was the last straw with Metz 7000 out of both the front and rear no cupping this time just plain wore out , so i put the Exedra on , went on a long journey , , hundreds of klm on the straights followed by hundreds in the twisties ,, lots of rain and slippy roads, and they handled very well ,, i done around 5000 klm and there is plenty of tread left ..

Just be VERY VERY careful for the first 200 klm or so , when i left the dealer they were that slippy it was like being on ice .

Overall they appear to be lasting better than the metz and they were around 150 dollars cheaper for 2 tyres ,,

On a side note how the hell do some of you guys manage to get 10000 miles out of them , thats 16000 klm .. What do you do put the bike in a trailer and tow it round

It must be better road conditions , i can't think of anything else .

Stephan, hey won't fit the rims on Standards, Classics and Roadsters. Not sure about Tourers. Also, they are pretty soft compounds.

coneye, which B'stones are you using up front. Radials or bias ply?

To my knowledge, I am the first to try the Exedra Max front and rear.

I got 13,000 on my forst Mets, but a lot of that was x-country. The feont was seriously cupped. I have the Excedra Max foing on Saturday am. The current set of Metz has 10,000, no cupping but the rear is very worn:)
