R3T Riser Remedy - Maybe

I am working on an idea to remedy the movement in the risers on the R3T. My thought is to design a one piece aluminum stepped washer to replace the rubber washer and metal washer between the risers and the triple tree. By doing this it should make it more of a solid mount therefore alleviating the movement that we have. Like I said it's an idea so if you have any thoughts on this I would be most interested to hear them. I have not inspected the bottom of the bushings to see if they also have a rubber washer but if it does I would also replace that as well. Thanks for your input.

Will be interested to see your solution, and to hear of its effect. I find the rubber mount to only be an issue when pushing the thing around the garage. Underway, I don't seem to notice it.

Just a thought back in the late 90's when RockShock were expensive as hell i like many Ausie MtnBikers could not afford them but a company in the states called Girvin made a thing called a "flex stem" it relied on the the give in the "Nulon" plastic/nylon bush while it was quite solid (*It came in different densities = colors as well *) so it absorbed the shocks and vibrations coming thru the front end without being squishy.
My point is maybe this material which incidentally is used extenisvely in the shock and spring bushes on cars these days would be a good alternative as the solid alloy might be a bit harsh and the nulon material would not be as squishy as rubber

What about handle bar vibration with a solid mount? The factory puts rubber mounts in there for a reason I would think?

Can't see why it would be a problem. No rubber mounts on mine. Kuri Iso grips a big help though.

Can't really see why your trying to fix a problem that don't exist , personaly i would say experieced motor cycle builders with well payed engineers , and probably hundreds of thousands of dollars spent designing the bike , if they thought it was a problem they would of changed it by now

when I put my risers on I had my bars sitting up fairly high, I hated the handling so ive lowered the bars down as far as I can, feels very comfortable riding, and I find the handling excellent.
