For the first time, I would recommend riding the roadster solo for a true feel of what it can do.
Then come back to her smiling ear to ear and invite her to come share the love.
I made the mistake of smacking the throttle shifting into second with my wife on the back. Pulled a nice wheelie. She hasn't ridden with me since.
Oops.
I'm sure you'll love the roadster. Its ridiculously fun.
A) They are two totally different machines.
B) Don't try to turn one into the other.
C) They both serve their purpose well.
D) We ride a giant hotdog!
My plan was not to try to pull parts off to make it a R3R.
Just trying to get the idea how close or how far apart the two brothers are.
We love the R3T for the ride and the ability to carry all we may need or want.
I have ridden both a R3T and now own a R3T and have found the "small "back tyre on the T handles quicker on the twisties for me and holds the line better not wanting to stand up in the corners ,
the only drawback is tyre wear only getting 5000k out of the Metzlers may try an Avon next ,we are blessed on the Central coast of NSW with some great motorcycle roads including the Old Pacific Hwy a section of Hwy North of Hornsby that was Bi passed years ago with a Freeway with some magnificent corners and although heavily Policed has become a Mecca for Motorcyclists and has 3 roadhouses that have almost only motorcyclist patrons a great meeting place to meet both new and old friends always someone to have a coffee with and a chat,
I own both a 2012 roadster and 2014 touring (well pick it up this week to replace the 2013 touring I had) they are diff in so many ways but both great bikes I do not see the touring as a hot dog Mobil as they are very close in times in the quart mile drag strip is 4 miles from my house and if set up right they preform in a strate line the same but will say I still like the touring better just got a hell of a deal on the roadster and could not pass it up but if there was no touring I would gladly ride the roadster all day
