2008 Touring
Hola! Just bought an '08 Touring off a guy in Harlingen. There were definitely some issues with the bike once I got it back home (a 4 hour drive 💀💀💀).
- No coolant in the reservoir or radiator; missing reservoir cap.
- No air filter in the box under the seat.
- Chrome is bubbling, corrosion on bolts.
- Wiring harness has a few frayed/cut wires.
- Fuel pump assembly was busted up, had to cut fuel tank from the wiring harness and the inner connector looks like it had burnt out.

There's plenty for me to do! Perfect for a blank canvas. If I had a pristine one I'd feel obligated to keep it that way but now I get to play around with it.

First of all, I am looking to replace the fuel pump assembly with the QFS system. This seems to be a good, compatible pump from what I can find on it.
Secondly, does anyone have experience replacing fuel filters? I found these K&N 81-0221 filters that I feel would be just fine but also found the OEM filters: MAHLE KL 145. Does anyone know if either/or would work or should I stick to the OEM replacement?

Also, is there anyone with the original stock exhaust in the U.S. that would be willing to work out a shipping/pick up deal with me? I'd love to get my hands on the originals. I'm out of San Antonio, TX. Thanks!

Good luck with your new bike. I am enjoying my 13, it came crusty but not in bad mechanical shape. Let us know how it turns out.
