I don't care for the looks; don't like all the stitching. Hopefully, it's comfortable. That's really all that matters.

The stitch pattern I chose was the least 'busy'. They have some that are checker board. Some that are half moon and the rectangular. I don't like too much stitching myself.

The Russell has that SAS shoe look to it, but I don't care too much. Most of the time your sitting on your seat rolling down the highway. So for that hour that it sits while your having lunch or while it's sitting in front of a motel, that's the only time for the most part that you have to explain why you/I have an ugly seat. They do make rain covers for them:)

$ 780.00 for all vinyl seat and both back rests.

Two questions:
1) Did you go to Russel and get custom measured? Or did you send them the seat?
2) Did you already have the drivers back rest?

I want to get one after the first of the year.

1. Russell asks for pictures of the rider and passenger. They also ask for measurements of rider / passenger. I sent them the seat I had (Triumph's Longhaul Dual Tour) and
2., yes I had the backrests (rider and passenger) already. Sent them too to be covered in the same material.

Dam that looks cumfy , I can't help but wonder what this seat does for ride height do you notice any diference?

I think the seat is up higher about an inch. I know the wings on the seat make it hard to position my legs and feet and a stop. The seat is supposed to break in after a bit. We'll see.
It's very supportive and I don't get the pain in the tailbone like I was with the long haul seat, never mind the stock one.

I'm not knocking the seat. As you know Dave, I have one and wouldn't trade it ( wife wouldn't let me) for the world. I just know that most don't care for the looks. When we do our 500 mile days what my seat looks like isn't on the top of my list. That said, I like the looks of it just fine. But then again, those SAS shoes are starting to look mighty sporty:)
