Last week I was at the dealer and they had a brand new r3t trike with full factory warranty. Apparently triumph has teamed up with motor trike for this. They deliver the bikes to motor trike, they convert it and then deliver it to the dealerships. Something like the mustangs going from the factory to shelby for the upgrade and then delivered to the dealers back in the day. He also told me motor trike is working (with triumph) on a full fairing and trunk for the r3t and thunderbird and by May we will have full touring versions of both bikes on the showroom floors at dealerships. These packages will also be available for purchase and installation on older bike that didn't come with it. I'll be the first in line for my r3t. These are supposed to be factory quality products with everything and not just an after market fairing with a radio.... I can't wait

if I saw a R3t with the Trophy fairing and electronic capabilities I would finally pull the trigger and just use my standard for cruising.

Well, I dropped off my bike to my favorite shop yesterday.

Bye, Bye to the old windscreen - Hello fairing. :D And just in time for AZ Bike week and a 3 day trip to NM on April 2.

And I took off the windscreen before I ran it up there. Wow, it was a little windy! I can't imagine riding any distance without a screen of some sort.

They'll also be wiring up the new GPS and if they have time left, installing an HID headlight. I think HID will be better than my headlight modulator for getting cars to see me.

I won't get the bike back until Friday or Saturday. I'll try to post some pics before I leave for my trip.

The trunk still hasn't shipped out from Tsukayu. Lord knows when I'll get that.

So let's see a picture of the Hoppe fairing. I'm saving now and it's looking like I'll have one by may.

Don't hold your breath waiting for those pics, Tank!

bobebob's last post was put up nearly 3 years ago:confused:...

I wonder if the R3 puts out enough juice for 100 wpc stereo, cigarette lighter, phone charger, heated seat and grips?

been there done that, I love my R3s and can't see it ever leaving, that said my mom lives 800 miles away and her hubby died last year and as much fun as the r3 propels me down the hwy I can't seem to avoid thunderstorms and I not so secretly wish at those times for better protection from the elements. Fact is the lack of a full fairing is probably the only thing slowing me down and therefore keeping my 2 wheels from sliding right off the road.

IDK, I've ridden in a lot of rain, the windshield and lower fairings give an awful lot of protection just like they are, I'm not sure how much more a fairing would help, the rain falls from above, maybe a roof?

sorry going to disagree with you on that one .. as someone who has a faring its much better then just the wind shield..
