Just returned from 1000 mile round trip to our CMA Changing of the Colors Rally in Hatfield Arkansas. I ran 87 octane the whole way pulling 600lbs of Timeout Camper. It is cool to blow buy a Harley at 80 on I-40 loaded down. I had a tail wind and got about 28mpg. No issues.

I was wondering if you had the Fiberglass Cooler Package, I was thinking about doing something like that might improve my mileage Getting the air around the front of the camper. just wondered if it helped yours

Most gas stations i go to seem to run out of 87 real quick these days , i've always used 89 from the start. I hardly ever see anyone using the higher octane gas which makes me wonder how long it's been standing in the under ground tank. For reassurence i often add Seafoam every other tank full.

Unless the pump has a separate hose for each grade there is only two supply lines to the pump one for 87 and the other for 91 they mix inside the pump half-and-half which gives you 89 if the station is out of 91 you are paying the big price for 87
