I have been burning premium (91-92 octane) in my R3T as recommended by my dealer. I have noticed R3 captains burning regular. Any R3T captains using regular? Not that I am cheap but would this not adversely affect the machine?
 
I burn Chevron Regular with Techron and have 42,000+ and no adverse effects...use the Star Tron Enzyme when traveling as not always Chevron available.Premium is a waste of money(and maybe Star Tron Too!!!)
 
Seems a lot of regular is only 87 octane meaning you have to go to the plus for 89. I will give it a try and see how it goes. Thanks.
 
Hi Rick ! I always burn regular (87) in mine. The only thing I notice is when I'm loaded up and have my best gal along, I can't lug the engine much or it will ping.
 
all i used in my 06 classic and my 08 r3t and stb r3t was the 87 octane and never had a problem when traded my r3t had over 57000 miles on it
 
Thanks, guess I will give it a try. Maybe in the spring.. getting **** cold up here! Crap!!!!!
