What are you looking for? Distance/mileage or stick-to-the-roadness?

The Dunlop Elite 3s are loooooong distance tires, but aren't made for twisties. I assure you of that...

and thanks to everyone that has responed

For the R3T, thats what I have, I replaced both metz with D251 dunlops.
This is the only tire for me.(pair)

I would recommend you not try that tire. That is the OEM tire that was recalled due to separation. Mine came apart at less than 4000 miles and wobbled so bad you'd think the front tire was flat.

I agree..no to the bridgestone exedra g85..the weight on the front end was too much for the tire and Triumph replaced all the tires under a federal highway safety recall...Triumph even issued me a new handbook that changed the bridgestone to the metzlers...I had less than 3800 on mine when I replaced it before the recall..Bridgestone stepped up to the plate and reimbursed my money after I sent them the invoice.Stay away from Bridgestones on those Rocket Touring!!!

hanso could not find a shinko tire in 150/80r/16
you might try 150/80/17 our front wheels are 17 inch not 16inch advertised as Shinko 757 Journey Touring Radials on Cli-max riding gear and accessories's website

The tyre rep that sells bridgestones to the race teams was the guy that told me about the Shinko told me not to buy the front bridgestone as it was not up to the job on a rocket!!!! that from a guy who sells Bridgestone and he didn't steer me wrong with the Shinko it is an awesome tyre!!!!:D
