Arrh Disaster struck or so it appeared.
I opened the a door to go for a ride this afternoon and found my gleaming bike HORIZONTAL not just tipped over but with both wheels HORIZONTAL lying on its RHS with the front wheel still strapped securely to this stand I had used to change bars, grips, screens, exhaust system, seats, panniers, crash bars, fit brand new LHS pannier shells etc. I also had the side stand down and it was chocked with a couple of 3"x2" timbers. I had noticed that the sidestand pad was only just touching when I had left the night before but thought it was fine.
It was fully loaded with the tall screen on and rolled right over on the vertical crash bar uprights.
No idea when it happened besides overnight. It didn't rock out but fell out sideways with the stand rocker still in fwd position.
PANIC and a few expletives emerged.....what have I dented scratched scuffed etc,
Rather than risk a slip or flip over I used some jacks and timber to gently raise it without straining until I could sit on it and pull it upright.
Then the Damage inspection began.......
but luckily I had already fitted the crash bars and while waiting for my factory pannier rails to arrive had fitted some RIVCO 1" Honda GL1800 6cyl h'way peg bars to the rear pannier crash bar. They have 58 holes for metal locating dowels to set but they didn't line up with my pannier pin stripes so I left the dowel pins out.
I MIGHT PUT MY SECOND SET ON TOO AFTER THE RESULT.

This RIVCO item was also listed for the dual headlight Rocket III to fit the 1" foot rails.
