Team: I have a R3R with 900 miles on it which developed a pinhole in a spark plug lead (#3) and I tried to put a rubber hose over it with RTV non conductive and wire ties as a temp fix but it still arcs to the eng. case. Soooooo, I called my dealer who is 60 miles away and asked them for a new wire and a new plug and two days later they tell me that Triumph will only sell them in sets of 6 and therefor I have to get the bike to them to make a determination. Keep in mind I own an aviation company with top mechanics AND I have this forum as a resource AND I do not want to take my time and to ride it like this AND I do not want it to sit in their shop and miss any time riding. SO.... I told them to sell me a set and a plug and have it drop shipped to me. HA, guess what, they agreed. Bad business move in my book. Any similar failures for anyone with a plug wire. AND, since I am buying a set, any better leads available. Looks like they all have individual coils. Plug upgrade? Thoughts?
