So I am looking around trying to come up with a t-shirt design for our motorcycle riding group when I come across Custom T-Shirts - Design Your Own T-Shirts Online - Free Shipping! I picked out the type of t-shirt, color, text etc. and start looking for an image to put on the shirts from there data base. I typed in motorcycle to the search bar for an image from there data base and a very healthy list of images comes up - I find the one that I think would be best suited and start increasing the image size to fit in the middle of the back of the t-shirt and what to my wondering eyes should appear ..... but an R3 :D The bear claw is easily identified and the insert plate also - I was stoked!!!! That's right not a Hardly Davidson but an R3 :bch:

Before you get too involved I would read their policy and fine print..

You may find that you design a Tee shirt and your design becomes the property of the website company and they can add to it their ever increasing stocks of designs and sell them to anyone..

Just thought I would mention this incase you think the tee shirt is exclusive to you and your group :)

Good point - the fine print is very important. However in this case the image comes from there data base so they already own the rights to that and all I am adding is the text to describe our riding group. Thanks for the heads up. :)

take a look at cafepress.com I have used them for years, they are great to deal with and don't lay claim to your work...

I also have Carepress but correct me if I am wrong but don't they sell you design on their site and pay you a commission on their sales besides you operating you own onsite shop for your own full profit ?

I seem to remember that they can offer your design on their sales pages..

IF you set up a store front with them, anyone can buy your products, but you get the profit, that is if you should so choose to charge more then the base cost so there are profits. I have never had the feeling or seen any sign that my stuff was being used for someone Else's gain. Also I have some stuff marked as private, so only I can see it, or buy it....
You can buy one item or 1000, the more you buy the cheaper it gets, and I have always been very happy with most of their products, their sweatshirts have been top notch as have their t-shirts, some of the shirts I have from them are several years old and still look pretty good...

I guess what could happen is someone stealing your art work, but they can do that from any website from which you have it posted..

OK I've got this and a dog version. I don't know if you can capture a good enough image from a jpeg on here- if not I can send you a disk.
