2011 R3R
Sort of new to the site, been surfing around for a while but finally have subscribed. Have owned a R3 std for 3 yrs but have just traded it on a R3R Red Haze, cracker colour. Bit different to ride and feels a lot smoother, especially in the box.
Sorry no photos, the Ol' Shiela has lost the camera.

G'day Nungers, welcome to the site from one of the Brissy riders. I liked the Roadster and the different power delivery too. Not sure who Skip thinks is in your area but im guessing there aren't too many Rockets up Geraldton way:cool:

You will be surprised, when I bought the first R3, I was the 3rd to own own one in Gero, now there must be around 15, not bad for a pop of 30,000. I am a Ulysses member and a few are changing to R3, mainly from HD. Think we have a couple of members from Perth, not too far away, only 450km, just a brisk ride !!
Going over your way next year, Mildura, Cairns, Kathrine, Broome and home, around 15,000km in 6 or 7 weeks.

First R3 was tweeked, triple k&n's, jardines with a tuneboy tune. R3R is still stock and will probably stay that way. Changed the crossover to the staintune and might put a tune in to remove the Triumph speedlimiter. anybody know if it can be done on the triumph tune.

Welcome. I too have a R3R and thinking of leaving it stock for a while but like the idea of the Staintune cross over even without doing any other performance mods for a while. I would be interested in what that one change did for your bike?

Gero, funny it still called that after all these years, last I was there must have been bout 1968....30,000 eh when I was there the place was tiny little seaside village I grew up over there left WA in 72 still call my self a sandgroper the cross over probally made very little difference should look at getting the mufflers they sound awesome and should let some more pony's out my 08 STD has the full staintune system and it made quite a difference but I have found out in the last couple of days is the tractor header really holds back a lot more than you think I have just fitted a set of Sam's predator style headers and oh my gawd!!!!! What a difference and even thou it is a bit lean ( going to load a new tun tomorrow) it has made a massive difference to the response and quite noticeable extra power. I didn't want system that was going to deafen me like Jardines, the staintunes load without making your ears bleed

Well there you go .. 15 Rockets .. I stand corrected ,Skip obviuosly has his finger on the pulse of R3 demographics more than i gave him credit for :D 15 Rockets blasting out of town into the desert sure would be a sight !!!!!
