I didn't know about that clip either. 
Guess I must have been lucky. The pads just seemed to come out and go in just like on the inboard discs on the XJ6 I used to own (around 1980.....).

yeah the pads came out easy enough mate went back in easy too
just got a surprise when this clip thingy fell out haha
ill definitely look out for it next time.
moto arena have orderd me one so ill get them to bung her in while im there and show me its correct placement .
as u guys said the pads wher simple and quick to do

Ok my new rattle springs are in now so i just need this rain to piss off so i can ride the **** thing. and there was two springs in the caliper u learn something new everyday lol
