I agree. You don't have to even use it. And I usually don't when slowly putting around. But when you want to rip it through the gears or make a pass, the extra coin is absolutely worth every penny. It should come standard on every R3.
I agree, putting around you dont even need a quick shifter, running out to redline you dont even need a clutch lever, kill the torque and send it, using a clutch lever at redline is hard on parts.
the value with shifter in going down the gears, is that worth the dollars is up to the individuals. I have arthritis in my hands which is still manageable and I like keeping my hand/grip strong , that said it could change if my hands no longer can manage - then I WILL get a shifter.
