Good Idea..I just measured the bolt.. .the one I have is only 20mm long. That would probably explain why. I need at least the 35mm or longer ones. I probably received the wrong part.

As long as I can get a longer version at the hardware store I think that will be OK, just wanted to make sure these kind of bolts are easily available.

Try to buy stainless steel bolts, they will look good for a long time.
 
coarse pitch bolts ... found everywhere even at home depot in every size and length.

for you mitzzy check it out the best of both world!! I will look up some fender covers that do not have the cut out from the original system so it will look clean ..when I return from south america I will take the bracket for black powder coating,

I have a set of standard (uncut covers) if you are interested- postage might be a killer.....
 
well let me know what postage would be ? I cannot find uncut covers anywhere in the usa.so I may have no choice but buy yours?
