Uummm yep 74 of 500 released and sold...worldwide only 370 Roadsters were sold in '13...I don't understand you blokes who buy those common as muck "limited editions"
Early this morning I responded to your comment about the Rocket X rather harshly. After working a ten hour shift and being very worn out was not thinking very clearly at all. After resting up a bit and reading your post for the life of me I can not understand why I posted what I did. Your comment on the Rocket X really did not deserve a response. I can say that I am very happy owning A Rocket X and still get emotional just looking at the bike. Very sharp paint job, a lot of blacked out parts with just a touch of chrome here and there to highlight the bike. They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
My original comment was not ABOUT the X or those who own one. It was about Triumphs half arsed attempt at a limited edition. Anyone with a parts catalogue or a can or black paint can make an X lookalike out of any year model roadster. Where's the exclusivity, and therefore value,in that? The OP is making structural changes, suspension upgrades, aesthetic improvements - he is making something other than a stock roadster with a different paint job. That's what Triumph could learn from. Upgraded brake package/suspension/hp/rims ... anything that actually stands the machine apart from all the others.
The OP is building a bike that makes him as proud as you obviously are of yours and that's what is important. So dumb comments about fenders (which the OP had clearly talked about in his original post) and other negative comments about his work are just unwarranted, immature and generally pretty short-sighted.
My second comment was simply a sarcastic,in principle, response to your snide response to my first comment. You could ride a bright orange ct110 for all I care - as long as YOU loved it...but I still wouldn't want one.
@Poseidon my apologies for the drift in topic, I look forward to seeing more pics of your work.
I think it looks great. Keep up the good work. Its your bike to do whatever you want to do with it. I would love to hear that exhaust. I like the look of that. Have you dynoed the bike yet?

New pipes all fitted, seat recovered and indicators renewed with billet items, lots more to be done, rear fender being made and front mudguard being cut down, new razor discs being manufactured and billet handlebars being custom made.
I know its not the purists cup of tea but i'm loving it!
