As the old one stated it does not have yo be a Avon, I chose it over the Michelin commander just because the actual out side diameter of the avon was larger. This was with the diamters speciffied by both companies. As for the metzler we it just wears funny in the front kind of wash boarded as it wears. But generally great to start burn piles with.
 
Well mate ive got a grin from ear to ear thanks to you i swapped up the front tyre and stayed with the 50" av72 and had them shave a little foam outta my saddle my feet are planted now when i stop..still waitin on my shocks but as for the ride day and night was not an understatement i dont have to telegraph the corners anymore...superb as for the metzeller there as much use as as a used band aid...confidence restored

YES. These 2 tyres are made to complement each other as front and rear mates.
