Metzler do a Z rated one. Though iirc not available in the US. Have you tried that 150/70 yet?Agree with Warpo that a 140 75R/17 (does not have to be Avon Cobra, there are other options)

How did you guess...its a shame considering the condition of the original one i replaced when i bought it 23000km on it i kid you not it was perished string showing yet it had a new one on the rear no pob pem in the land of smilesYou know the answer to that one!
Won't need a front for a couple months yet.
Job done progressed to checkout..by the way my r3 last owner is deceased...nothing to do with that fron tyre mind...he brought the bike in from china as a matter of intrest it is now ilegal as it was then but you could bring it in in parts and pay for the plate and book thats long finished they assemble triumph here but not the rocket as its to heavy for assembly for these small folk...but you can purchase one for 1.2 million baht thatsHow did you guess...its a shame considering the condition of the original one i replaced when i bought it 23000km on it i kid you not it was perished string showing yet it had a new one on the rear no pob pem in the land of smilesim prepared to remove the front which has a good 3500miles out of it...just for the fun of a lower profile and i was on the hunt for a rear so all in all perfect timing thanks to you fellas on here saved my bacon

Take you up on thatI'm telling you bud you would not believe the difference even if you run the 240/50 rear verses the 240/55. I'm 5"10" and fat at 160 lbs. 30 inch inseam and love the 240/55 and the 140/75 set up. next I am going to try a 250 on my 18 inch rim, per Nev's comment about how it quickens the roll over from side to side. The real key is with the 140 your front axle is now lower the the rear.
Managed to find a pair of Avon cobras only thing is the front is the new av71 and the rear is av72 which is 2 years old? Ive not seen them as they are in another shop somewere so ive not seen the tread pattern either way is it ok to mix these 2Take you up on that... quick cup off coffee then off to have a scout around its easy spending on the one you love
