Agree with Warpo that a 140 75R/17 (does not have to be Avon Cobra, there are other options) on front and a 240/55R/16 Exedra Max rear is the best set-up!
 

The 444 are very good shockies, I would like to try some Wilbers as they may be even better.
I have run Hagon and they are fine, but I'd put them ½ step behind the 444s.
Re: your R3T:
I would give the 444s the nod because of the auto damping and easy hand twist pre-load features.
These would be invaluable and provide easy quick adjustment for riding two up!

444 Series shocks are available in 3 configurations: Standard (Up to 250 lbs.), Heavy-duty (250+ lbs.) and Super Heavy Duty (Touring Models only - 350+ lbs.).
