Thanks alot for the tyre chart chart and great laymens terms for us grease monkeys...job sorted:D
As the old one stated it does not have yo be a Avon, I chose it over the Michelin commander just because the actual out side diameter of the avon was larger. This was with the diamters speciffied by both companies. As for the metzler we it just wears funny in the front kind of wash boarded as it wears. But generally great to start burn piles with.

If I may offer a suggestion! If your still in Thailand Change the front tire. If you have a meztler on it they are good in a burn pile :) Drop the 140 and ride it so you can judge what you want to do. Its like night and day just with the tire change. Springs are great in the front but if you have a chance to add any adjustable high speed dampening I highly recommend it over just a spring change!!!! I ride on roads now I would have avoided before just to save my kidneys. Oh that and ever since I wrecked my 05 in Siberia oops I mean Canada where I broke my back in six places it has not been as kipper :D
Well mate ive got a grin from ear to ear thanks to you i swapped up the front tyre and stayed with the 50" av72 and had them shave a little foam outta my saddle my feet are planted now when i stop..still waitin on my shocks but as for the ride day and night was not an understatement i dont have to telegraph the corners anymore...superb as for the metzeller there as much use as as a used band aid...confidence restored :D

Managed to find a pair of Avon cobras only thing is the front is the new av71 and the rear is av72 which is 2 years old? Ive not seen them as they are in another shop somewere so ive not seen the tread pattern either way is it ok to mix these 2
YES. These 2 tyres are made to complement each other as front and rear mates.
