Hello everybody!

I'm thinking of installing a powercommander on my rocket 2004.
It's really the o ly thing that I want to change on my beloved bike.

But surfing the web brought me on a other solution for less then the half of the money of a powercommander.
It's called boosterplug. If you look at the pictures its really simple to install...
Anyone experienced with the boosterplug?
What are your thoughts about this?

Gr,

Michel

I only had a quick read but from what I could see it merely replaces your air temp sensor with one that tells the ECU the air is colder than it really is so it richen the mix. You might get some marginal improvements - we know how our bikes feel on those crisp evenings - but over time would probably lead to fouled plugs and increased fuel consumption. A cheap option but WAY overpriced for what it is. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I wouldn't do it.

Much better to go the tune ecu route, $20 for a cable and a tune from one of the gurus on this forum. I agree the booster plug is simply a way to modify the signal to riches the bike up. Rockets eat plugs if they are too rich.

Take a look at the Dobeck Performance AFR Plus. It is the way to go. Been using mine for about 3 years now and really love what it does for the bike. If you only want to do 1 thing, THIS IS IT.

What would be the gain on fitting a PCV on a stock bike. Seems like a waste of $500 to me as I don't think you would get the buzz for your buck. Spending $1200 on TORs,Ramair &Tuneboy tune is a whole different story.

if your bike is stock you would be better served by getting a tunce ecu cable and putting an unrestricted tune in. Or if messing with a PC makes you confortable then get a gipro atre to unrestrict the first 3 gears.
