by using @Mittzy quick release brackets you could have a clean look factory rack with no back rest whenever you do not need

What a very nice bike. If I were you though I would carry a spare throttle side grip. My Kuryakyn ISO grip brokeone of the cable retention tabs off last time it was on the dyno. Good thing it was at the dealer and they gave me a grip out of the used bin. I now carry it as a spare in my saddlebag and I changed grip brands.
