Yeah Claviger, now you are talking to me. I kind'a like the decel gargle/pop thing. It's like the Brits build and carburate engines so they will Pop and gargle at certain times during the low rpm portion when decelerating. Don't wa'na hear it, pull the clutch and use the brakes to slow down.
This big bike has a lot of slack in the drive train and throttle response is not the best at shallow settings so... work'it maaan. Gargle, rattle, pop and carry on.
ime - where the R3 has a shed load of waggle/slack and very weird throttle is the crappy standard handlebars and (from factory) sloppy cables. Fitting igus bearings to the inside of the throttletube and making sure the cable was really really well adjusted eliminated all the ****ty control. The MAP based tuning is really making a big difference too.
