So the new cams didn't get fitted mate ?

Graphite powder fixes the sticky petrol cap/key thingo Bruce. Speed Triple is even worse than the Rocket and they seem the same set-up.
sprayed WD40 in mine last time it got sticky. It's a pain in the arse when it plays up always miles from home at a servo. Funny that only ever have trouble opening the fuel cap at servo's.

I was warned against using WD40 type sprays mate .. reckon they will "gum up" the tumblers. Graphite powders only $6 and does the trick .. I dunk the key into the bottle and give it a shake

Right on the money there Trevor, WD40 is only good for wet dizzies an rusty bolts Graphite whilst messy is the only thing to use on or in a lock done properly should last a good while, I would also put a tiny spot of it on the key entry so the key pushes it around inside

What about gun oil? I've used it for about 4 years with no problems?

I am going by what an Ol' Locksmith once told me he said that WD40 type aerosols sprays just carry the dust an crud in deeper and dry out leaving you with same problem whereas Graphite being a powder and very slippery one at that just goes in and allows things to slide under pressure, I couldn't say about Gun Oil I have never used it but I would be concerned that it may attract dust etc
