Just installed a set of D&D's on my 08 R3T. They are definetly much louder than stock and much better performance gains when coupled with a PC5 w/AT. Love the performance overall but found the pipes to be a bit raspy. The D&D baffles are about 10" inside the body of the exhaust and creates an echo that makes the pipes raspy IMO. I had my bike mechanic pull the baffles to the end of the pipes and connect the baffle to the exhaust pipe with some pipe at autozone that coupled perfectly and is concealed within the slip-on exhaust. Now the baffles are 2" from the end of the pipes and the raspy sound is gone leaving a deeper diesel engine tone. I'm now much happier with the pipes and love the sound but I'm not sure it is worth tinkering with these pipes if the TOR's give similar performance gains and cost less!
