Another Idea would be If Triumph were to get Metzler to make the Z8 in our size it is a dual compound and guys I know that are using it love them, apparently heaps better than the Z6. ....Just a thought seeing as the marathon was never originally designed to handle the amount of torque that the Rocket produces it was designed for V Twins to handle thier lesser torque
the Z8 are designed for the new more powerfull Sports Tourers like the Kawka Z1400 and the BMW 1600 and Haybusa in another words tire screading power

Shinko are the motorcycle arm of Yokohama they used to trade as Yokohama but for some reason decided to change the name they make good tyres I am running one on the front and it is fantastic better milage, better steering and better grip in the wet than the Metzler and to top it of only two thirds of the cost something I only found out after I ordered it I don't buy price I buy safety and Yokohamas have always been a good tyre

Even Art (Imfastto) has agreed (probally the only thing in regards to tyres) with me on the Shinko tyres quality and grip
