Perth, Aus - Rokkkkiitttt

I watched a few youtube clips on jardines and staintunes - both sound pretty nice. But the jardines sound more manly :D

Gotta wait till 3rd of Dec till my baby gets here, but I guess it's not too bad with how the weather has been here in Perth lately. Be here right in time for summer tho!!!! Probably get use to it on the Madaz exhaust and upgrade the shocks/seat/highway pegs first.

I think about this stuff too much, but hey thats half the fun... right? :)
Then you will want more power:Dthen comes triple filters, pipes, and a tune, hmm maybe even cams and lock up clutch;)

Jardine and Preds are the only things out there with real header down tubes, I REALLY like my TOR's and probably will never go with anything different as far as the pipes. But if someone would ever make a set of headers that replace the stock manifold, that would be a must have. We need to put some pressure on those two to make just the header.

Gotta take the bike through the pits too when it gets here, then get plates for it... another 10 days of waiting after i actually get it.. eh.

Thats always the case though, my last bike was only a 500 (i've ridden more, but didn't upgrade my own) and the stock r3 will keep me satisfied for a little while. But the bling is sure to follow shortly after - i want to use it part as a tourer and my girlfriend is bouncing around walls wanting to jump on the back instead of the 500 (shes using it as an excuse for me to buy her a new helmet hahahah... no), so no single seat.. lowered beast for me. But god knows im gonna do my best haha :p

By tourer, i don't mean windshield, corbin panniers and GPS. But, just a few comforts to make long rides easier :p

Australian Rocket Riders Group

Hey guys,

Just ordered a 05 Rocket III from the other side of the country with 11000kms on it, the next couple of weeks are going to be the longest of my life....

Bit about myself? I'm 22, been most of the way around the bottom of Australia on a motorbike - crashed once on the way to Perth from Adelaide and ended up with a ambo ride 500km back to Adelaide, hahaha. Want to do the whole thing in a year or 2 - on the rock of course :D

Can't wait for my Rocket to get here, but I guess half the fun is thinkin bout what im gonna put on it extra - because it's pretty much stock. BTW anyone used Madaz Pipes? Any good? Can't find anything on the net. I know 2 spray painters and a couple of panel beaters... i wanna cut the rear fender down and fit a VROD muscle LED light to the back. Haven't decided on colour tho!!! Graphite looks pretty sweet...

Been reading the forum maybe 1 month and have read most of the posts - been looking at Rockets for a year and a bit now and just couldn't get her off my mind!!! Finally the day is coming..

Cheers,

Dean

If you live in Australia, own & ride a Triumph Rocket, no matter what the vintage then this is the place for you.

Mission: To get all Aussie Rocket Riders at one place at least once a year.

Yea, i've heard they're pretty **** loud though. I wanna be loud, but not ear splitting, cop attracting loud... if you know what i mean ;)

I got the Jards, they are actually not too loud in the lower rpms, but when you stoke the fires they sizzle HD owners ears off:cool:
At idle they pulsate and you feel them as much as hear them. My neighbours tell me the R3 rattles the crockery on their shelves
Some cops I was speaking to at Subway getting dinner loved the sound as I pulled up,I dont know what they thought as I pulled away:D

If you ever want to hear them ,send us a pm

My girlfriend loves the classic seat as the pillion part is a bit wider than the standard seat.
I have a Motodry bag on the sissy bar which is good for day trips if she lets me put anything in there;)
On longer trips I put the leather bags on.
I also have the flyscreen which keeps a fair bit of wind off me but is not intrusive like windscreens can be.
I plan on putting rear aftermarket foot boards on to move her feet a bit further forward
I also fitted the clock and fuel gauge which are useful.
