While I applaud your effort, I think part of not following the crowd is riding what I want regardless of what ANYONE thinks. If I want to ride a Harley, I'll ride one regardless if anyone thinks I'm a follower or not. Same goes for if I want to ride a Triumph or a Honda, etc... Additionally, another part of not following the crowd, to me anyway, means not running around dressed like a Judas Priest band member with a "do rag" and vest decorated with stupid phrases like "If you can read this, the bitty fell of", "Loud Pipes Save Lives" and other nonsense, etc... I guess what I'm saying is making fun of the Harley riders in here and then discussing skull patches for a "leather vest" is kind of like the kettle calling the pot black.

Just my .02 worth. Of course, YMMV.

Now, if anyone is interested, there's a sale on Paul Stanley Signature Destroyer Jumpsuits. Nothing says REBEL like riding your Rocket dressed in a PSSD outfit. ;)

I've been trying to come up with a patch design for my leather vest. Something to poke fun at the Hardley crowd at events. Here are a couple of layouts based on patches available at PatchAttack.com. What do you think?

Let me know if you have any luck with PatchAttack. I have sent them numerous emails but I have not heard anything back from them. Their site says that they offer small shop service but so far they have not delivered. Have you actually ordered from them?

I've sent a couple of inquiries to them and both times I got a response within a few hours. I haven't actually ordered anything just yet but I certainly plan to.

If we get enough responses, they will set up the patches to be machine made rather than hand made, which drives the cost down.

Here was the response to my inquiry sent today:

Hi,

Yes it can be made. I suggest it should be a computerized machine made patch
but you would need to order in a decent quantity to justify the time setting
up this larger design and digitizing it for the embroidery machine. And the
more that are ordered the less the price will be. Do you want the lettering
metallic thread like my small patch of this design or just a plain silver
thread?

Regards,
PA

What email address are you contacting them with?

I bought the R3 patches you show with the skull and pistons on Ebay. They were shipped from the Phillipines. Maybe looking on Ebay will put you in touch with the maker?
Currently Item number: 170239533589 is like the one I bought from the same seller.

RD,
That's funny !!!! I've never quite heard them described that way.

BTW, offering an opinion on what I think would look good doesn't mean that I'd ever wear one... doo rag... stupid phrase vest... or Paul Stanley Jumpsuit.. although I do have my KISS Army stuff in a box in the attic.:D

Same here, I don't own a leather vest, haven't quite figured out what good they do. Kinda like wearing shorts and a sweat shirt:confused: but I see that all the time.

I don't like the patch vests that serve no purpose.

Not to long ago, I wondered why some wore vests on the outside of their jackets, seemed stupid until someone told me about wearing colors.

If I see a guy that has a vest full of stupid phrases, and a ginormous HD back patch, I think it's stupid.

If I see a guy with a vest full of phrases and he has the back covered with Bandido colors, then I'm ok with that. He's part of something and he's wearing his colors.

I recently switched to wearing a vest on the outside of my jacket. The back with MC colors, front I've got my RAT patch, name patch, POW/MIA patch, Patriot Guard Riders patch, EGA pin, gunny pin, jump wings & dive bubble and one stupid phrase patch:
