passenger buffeting

Yeah, for short runs, riding without a screen is great. It's the 6-700 km days, several days in a row, that I want the wind offloaded.

I have this teeny-ass little screen, which works pretty well for me.

My wife has never complained about any buffeting. If there was any; believe me, she would. She complains about EVERYTHING.

Of course, I know none of y'all have to deal with anything like that.

I cut a hole in my screen to allow it to vent. That made a huge difference by reducing buffeting. I also use the lowers, because they also work.
Bet you did that carefully!. Nice seat btw.

I use a Flyscreen WITH the Roadster Screen - The Roadster is lifted slightly above stock so I get a nice draught flowing under the Roadster and across the Fly behind.
No buffeting but keeps water and ****e off the instruments ;)
I concur on lowers though mine a a good bit more rigid than stock.

id like to see a pic of that barba...

we took a trophy overnight, the sales mgr at woodstock triumph told me to keep it til wednesday... first time i ever got offered a 4 day demo . i returned it for my r3 today anyhow, but my wife said it was waay better with the screen fully raised than my rocket. we are also much closer together on the bike keeping her in the pocket. the trophys electronic suspension is sweet also, we rode thru a thunderstorm and were reasonably dry, the top box is great, radio works, it has cruise control, and the motor ain't half bad, except for how noisy it is. down side for me was at 85 mph the speed i like to go the bike starts to float, it's also top heavy and a bite to get back up off the side stand, i'm only 5'7 and felt really cramped sitting in the seat. i don't think it will be replacing my r3.

I changed the angle of the screen to reduce buffetting, by drilling another hole into the metal plate on each side. It brought the top of the screen closer to the helmet, and should have improved aerodynamics and top speed as well. Buffeting is no issue anymore.

I am thinking about cutting the windshield on both sides to make it slimmer - because that should help for hi-speed stability.

I see you also have it raised as high as possible too. Like the idea of drilling the brackets to allow for extra adjustment. Im happy to have the screen off at the moment, the buffeting was herendous.

I like the idea of the fly screen but don't much like the look. What does a fly screen cost? I don't have a problem with buffet in just thinking of the warm months coming up.
