While I suspect they will bee a major improvement over the 2780's I have serious doubts it will flow as well as my RX 4040's so unless Neville tells me differently I will stick with what I have.
Mind if I were someone that was running the 2780's I would jump at the RamAir unit as it has a much larger surface area so would have to be an improvement but only time will tell
Even if they flow more, it won't really matter as three RX-4040-1 filters flow more than a 250 hp R3 requires. The difference will be in how much hot air is pulled in under the Bearclaw. This is normally 5-6 hp with an aftermarket exhaust verses the bearclaw removed with the 2780 filters.

Exactly. I never minded the noise and was very happy with my triples sitting out in the cooler air flow. I'm sure that with either a cut bear claw or one of Les', triples will be more than adequate for a lot of people still. I understand the excitement around the Ramair but I'm certain it's not the be all and end all.
Is that how you use smilies then, to disguise the context? I use them to convey the context - in this case 'having a laugh' or 'not to be taken seriously'.
