It is probably the white wire in the ignition switch which has come unsoldered. It can be repaired but you will need to remove 2 tamper proof screws. Replace them with regular metric screws.

Cheers for that I will check it tmrw, when I first turned the ignition on the indicator relay was flickering although they weren't switched on and a few other strange things happened they it just lost power altogether, what's the best method to remove the tamper proof screws

Prayer and fasting.

Some have used a Dremel to cut a small groove and then a screwdriver. Others have used long nosed pliers. I don't remember how I did it, it was so many years ago.

Alternatively, you could make a keyless system and bypass the switch completely. Instructions for that are in the link in my signature.

Lol
I guess the hardest part will be flipping the bike over to get at them.... If that fails keyless would be an option I will take a look thanks again

A big thanks for the imput, turns out the seemingly obvious to me was not the problem ie intermitted power on a slow turn of the key, it was something quite simple which Id already looked over new battery, terminals were clean and nothing was loose bear in mind I have 3 other cables running from the + while I was sitting sipping my morning coffee I placed the test light on top plus bolt it lit up but when I placed it on the leads below got no reading I just loosened the bolt gave a wiggle nipped it up and everything powered up like champ, come to think of it the last ride seemed abit ropy totall comparison to a loose battery lead.
So the smart move on my part was I put a spot of blue lock tight on the thread guess that doesn't really help either😕
