Havre you ridden one of the new ones? They are nothing like the older ones except they both have great torque. The Consummate Captain will have one of each.

All i can say is ride a new one...not around the block but a decent few miles to get the feel...they are VERY nice...just sayin..
For me, i preferred the GT's stance...sitting position...all the extras.....just get your arse on one.
