Hi chaps, have just drained oil and changed filter.Put oil in tank to upper level about 4 ltrs. Started bike oil light does not go out,oil remains in tank at same level. Any help would be welcome. cheers

sounds like it may have lost prime. Did you put the filter on empty? If so, try filling the filter at least 1/2 with oil, spin it on and give it a go, hopefully that oil in the filter will help prime the pump and get things moving. This is all assuming everything was in good working order prior to the oil change.
Have you tried looking in the tank with the engine running to see if oil is actually circulating or not?

Hi thanks, yes I have tried with filling filter since,but no luck.Appears no movement of oil in tank. Was working fine before. Last year bike went to dealers for change and they said they had trouble changing oil,thought nothing of it . 2016 and 5000 miles

Yeahhh filters have a backflow valve that might be too tight or stuck. Was it a Triumph filter?

How long did it set with the drain plugs out? Warp has some info on priming the pump, he'll be along soon.

Could always put the old filter back on and see what happens if you need to rule that out.
